Recently thyssenkrupp Elevator’s Sänfte RF1 passenger elevator was awarded Grade A energy efficiency certificate issued by TÜV, which demonstrates this product is classified as Grade “A” green level according to the energy consumption standard VDI 4707 and is at the international advanced level.
TÜV is a world-famous third party certification institution and has authoritative expert teams in the field of environmental testing.
VDI4707 is the world’s first elevator energy efficiency rating certification standard issued by VDI in March 2009.
Elevators can be classified into 7 energy efficiency categories, from Grade “A” to Grade “G”, based on the energy consumption performance of the elevator and Grade “A” represents the highest energy efficiency level.

The traction machine obtained the certificate of “China energy-saving product certification” issued by China Quality Certification Center in 2015.
It uses the drive and drum brake integrated design. It is green, mute and environmental-friendly. Compared with the traditional traction machine, it can save energy by over 30%. In addition, it does not need gear lubricating oil, preventing pollution. As a result, it better meets the requirements for environmental protection. In addition, it has the leading shaft space efficiency in the industry. Thanks to its reasonable construction layout, it optimizes the shaft structure and parts, maximally saving building space and construction cost for customers and meeting the needs for building design aesthetics.
Inside the elevator car, RF1 uses the intelligent standby solution which maximally reduces the energy consumption of the elevator.
When the elevator is in the standby mode for some time, the lighting and fan in the car will be automatically closed until the elevator is started again.
